While Valentine’s Day is a holiday for couples, Valentine’s Day at FoxFire Restaurant is a special event that brings women together to celebrate female friendship. On Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 7:00 pm, FoxFire will host this fun get-together for women in Geneva and the surrounding communities.
“The inspiration for the event came from the TV show ‘Parks & Rec’,” explained KC Gulbro, chef and owner of FoxFire Restaurant. “One of the characters said February 13th was the best day of the year, as she and her lady friends would leave their husbands and boyfriends at home so ladies could celebrate ladies. Men are welcome too, however, as everyone can celebrate female friendship.”
FoxFire will offer 1/2 price wine features and other drink specials, including beer flights from the local Penrose Brewery, along with appetizers, shareables, and entree specials. “Josh T, a talented, up-and-coming magician who has performed for Chance the Rapper, will present his table-to-table magic show as part of our entertainment lineup,” added Gulbro. “At the bar from 4-6 pm we’ll offer 1/2 price appetizers for those wanting to do a pre-ladies night get-together.”
The Davenport Project™, a local favorite band, will provide live music from 6-9 pm. “The Davenport Project musicians pride themselves on not getting tied down to one particular era or genre of music,” explained Gulbro. “They perform 50’s and 60’s rock, 70’s southern rock, 80’s metal ballads, 90’s acoustic pop, contemporary country, and even the occasional rap song. They strive to play songs the crowd knows and wants to hear, sing along with, and dance to.” For attending artists (or wannabes), Art Bar 39 will offer glass painting for $15/glass, or $25 for two. Attendees can also create a personalized scented lotion, body scrub, room spray, or body spray for $20, courtesy of Sincerely Yours. For reservations, please contact:
