FoxFire in Geneva Hosts 2nd Annual Luau Fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Hospital
Restaurants who host events to raise funds for worthwhile causes are a true gem in their community. FoxFire Restaurant, an award-winning restaurant offering aged prime beef, chops, and fresh seafood in an elegant, intimate setting certainly fits the bill, offering quarterly events that raise money for a variety of charities.
FoxFire’s 2nd annual St. Jude Luau fundraiser takes place on Thursday, August 9th from 7-10 pm. “Last year, we raised $1,400 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital,” said Samantha Donovan, Event Coordinator for FoxFire Restaurant. “We had terrific participation and very positive feedback from last year’s attendees, so we knew we had to do it again this year.”
The Luau will offer a Polynesian buffet, dancing, a DJ, and a 50/50 raffle. “The event will be held on our outdoor patio, which will feature a Tiki Bar with special prices for tropical drinks,” said Donovan. “The $40/person cost will benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital, which offers pioneering research and treatments for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.” In case of rain, the event will move indoors.
The fun-filled evening begins with FoxFire’s unique Polynesian buffet, with entertainment to include DJ Joel Castro’s tropical music playlist, along with live hula dancers that will interact with the audience. For anyone wanting to learn to hula, this is your chance!
“Reservations are required, as we have a limited number of spots for the event,” added Donovan. “We’ll accept reservations up until August 8th.” Last year’s attendees included a number of first-time guests, and many were so impressed that they signed up for emails giving notice of future fundraising events. “FoxFire has been serving Geneva and the surrounding communities for fourteen years,” said Donovan. “The St. Jude Luau is a perfect way for people to try us out, and it’s all for a great cause.”
